Saatchi & Saatchi New York, Biz Markie Introduce ‘Marshmallow Only’ Lucky Charms

What kid doesn’t fantasize about a box of Lucky Charms with only the marshmallow hearts, stars, rainbows, clovers and blue moons? Now General Mills is making the dream a reality, with a new sweepstakes introduced by hip-hop legend Biz Markie in a new 90-second spot from Saatchi & Saatchi New York.

The catch? There are only ten boxes. Markie performs a transformed version of his 1989 hit “Just A Friend” — reinterpreted as “Marshmallow Only.” Biz lets viewers in on the basics of the “Lucky 10 Sweepstakes” as lyrics to the catchy tune, over a colorfully animated backdrop. Interested viewers can post a selfie with an imaginary box of the sought-after cereal using the hashtag “#Lucky10Sweepstakes” for a chance to win one of ten marshmallow-packed boxes. It’s a fun way to get the word out, with Biz providing an entertaining introduction to the contest.
