It’s official: after more than 24 years with TBWA\Chiat\Day–nine of which she spent as president–Carisa Bianchi is no longer with the agency. In her place, Luis DeAnda is acting president of the Los Angeles office as of…now.
Here’s the unsigned memo:
Carisa Bianchi, after nine years as President, is leaving TBWA\Chiat\Day. Let me take this opportunity to thank her. Carisa has been an integral part of our success over the past 20 years. Let me also share with you a few words from Lee about Carisa:
“Having partnered with Carisa for more than 20 years, I know she will bring the same passion, intellect and creativity to whatever she decides to do in the future. She has contributed much to my and our success. I will miss her.”
Please join me in wishing Carisa well for her future endeavors. Luis DeAnda has been promoted to the role of President, effective immediately.
You may only have known him for a few months but Luis has been with TBWA for 12 years in both Tokyo and across the parking lot at MAL and I’m excited to have him at the helm of TBWA\Chiat\Day LA.
From AdAge, DeAnda joined TBWA in January after 12 years in the agency’s MAL and Hakuhodo offices.
