Havas Reports Weaker First Half than Fellow Umbrellas

According to its first half of ’09 activity report published yesterday, Paris-based agency holding company Havas posted a 7.4% drop in revenue and a 9.2% slide in organic results, which is comparably worse than the results of other umbrella firms including WPP, Publicis and Omnicom.

Havas, which houses MPG and Euro RSCG among other agencies, did report that net income remained stable at 40 million Euros, digital business was strong in North America and that the company will no longer feel the effects of losing the Dell account in Asia Pacific.
