Converse, Anomaly Appeal to Hipster Nation with Original Music Collaboration

By Kiran Aditham

Now here’s a brand/music collaboration we can get behind, even if it’s not the most original concept to begin with. Like Levi’s and its “Pioneer Sessions” before it, Converse is the latest major brand to mine the music community and pluck a handful of artists for a campaign called “Three Artists. One Song.” The title speaks for itself in this effort that comes from the Nike-owned brand and Anomaly. Now fans can watch short films where the participating artists–VitaminWater commercial scorer Kid Cudi (above), Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast–are followed around by cameras in order to build anticipation for the “One Song” in question. The free track can be downloaded here on July 7.
