By Erik Oster

Raleigh-based agency Baldin& expanded with the recent arrivals of four creatives: senior art director Nate Hinners (pictured), art director Kory Brocious and copywriters Michael Barbano and Emily Bress.

Hinners joined the agency as senior art director in December, reporting to agency co-founder and executive creative director Bob Ranew and working on Cree, Krispy Kreme, and Seventh Generation.

He previously spent two years as an art director with POSSIBLE in Seattle, where he worked with clients including Coca-Cola, AT&T, Microsoft, Hornitos Tequila and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Before that he spent a year as an art director with Publicis Seattle, where he worked on T-Mobile and admits he “dreamt in magenta on some nights,” followed by a short stint as a senior designer at Julep Beauty.

Brocious will also report to Ranew and joins the agency from Iris Worldwide in Atlanta, where he completed an art director internship while still a student at Creative Circus Portfolio School. He has worked with brands including Reebok, Shell, Lamborghini, and Zaxby’s, and was part of the team behind the One Show Silver Pencil-winning “Gender Inequality in the Military” campaign for nonprofit organization Protect our Defenders.

Barbano will report directly to David Baldwin and will work on Krispy Kreme, Cree and Ponysaurus Brewing. He arrives at the agency from 22squared in Atlanta, where he spent the last year as a copywriter, following ten months as a junior copywriter with the agency. Barbano has also served stints at Barker and Iris Worldwide. Over the course of his career, he has worked with brands including Dunkin’ Donuts, Home Depot, Baskin-Robbins, SunTrust, Publix, Southeastern Toyota and Mizuno.

Bress will also report to Baldwin and joins Baldwin& after completing a copywriting internship at Atlanta agency Fitzgerald & Co. while a student at Creative Circus Portfolio School. She has worked with brands including Navy Federal Credit Union, Checkers & Rally’s Med Express and Carrabba’s. Bress also served as an editor/writer for international online music magazine The Vinyl District.
