Ammirati Nabs AOR Duties for Coke’s Burn

Coca-Cola is hoping to make some further inroads in the energy drink market and as a result,  has named Ammirati to serve as global AOR for its seven-year-old energy brand, Burn. Following a global review, the New York-based indie shop won out (though it wasn’t revealed who else was in the pitch) after ” demonstrating outstanding creative design and a clear understanding of the brand’s manifesto: ‘Ignite the fire inside and out” according to those involved.

Seems like an apt fit considering that the 11-year-old Ammirati’s other clients include Powerade, VitaminWater and SmartWater. The shop’s responsibilities include strategic planning and creative development, branding, package design and point of sale. Agency founder Matthew Ammirati has high hopes for Burn, which never had a global AOR before, saying in a statement that it’s “an exciting brand poised to become a global powerhouse.”
