Yoselyn Castellanos Joins Telemundo Nuevo México Weather Team

Yoselyn Castellanos has been added to the weather team at Spanish-language television station Telemundo Nuevo México (KASA).

Castellanos joins anchors Alejandro Contreras and Mayra Aguilar and reporters Sergio Guerrero and Jaime Arteaga. She made her debut on the Albuquerque-Santa Fe Telemundo station on Monday.

“We are delighted to have Yoselyn Castellanos in Albuquerque helping to elevate our Primera Alerta (First Alert) brand and delivering the most accurate and trusted weather forecast,” said Tony Canales, KASA president and general manager. “She has the knowledge and dedication necessary to inform viewers about our ever-changing weather conditions.”

Castellanos comes from Entravision’s group of stations in McAllen, Texas where she was hired as an MMJ after interning there.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Texas, Rio Grande in December of 2020 and is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
