WXYZ Adds Reporter From Texas

Shelley Childers is joining WXYZ in Detroit as a general assignment reporter.

Childers comes to the ABC affiliate from KRGV in Weslaco, Texas.

On her Facebook page, she thanked her colleagues despite the dropped “n” on her going away cake. “I will always be grateful to the Rio Grande Valley,” she wrote. “Thank you!… Or as my cake says “Thak You.”
