WXII has hired Carly Cassady as the station’s new weekend morning meteorologist.

“Thanks for the warm welcome, excited to forecast for and be part of the Piedmont Triad!” she said before making her debut last week in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Cassady comes from KBTX in Byran, Texas. Before that, she worked for KMVT in Twins Falls, Idaho.

Cassady was born and raised in Lenexa, Kan., and attended the University of Memphis. She took meteorology coursework at Mississippi State.
