The social media ratings race tightened in Atlanta over the last 30 days.

WXIA, the Tegna owned NBC affiliate, held onto first place. A spot they’ve held onto for the past few months.

Close behind were WAGA, the Fox owned station and WSB, the Cox owned ABC affiliate. All were separated by six Share points. The rankings however remained unchanged.

WXIA had a 34.3 overall Share, followed by WAGA with a 32.6 Share and WSB with a 28.8 Share. The other two stations Share Rocket tracks in the market had Share scores in the single digits.

Overall, engagement was up significantly over the last 30 days compared to the 30 days prior, with all five stations seeing an increase. Among the top three stations, WSB saw the largest increase in engagement from month to month, +20.9%.

WXIA anchor Vinnie Politan was the top individual in the market on Facebook, which gave WXIA’s main station accounts a boost.

WSB had a firm lead on Twitter thanks to Tyisha Fernandes, who generated nearly 24,000 engagements on Twitter last month.

Politan led in the individuals race. Radi Nabulsi and WSB chief meteorologist Glenn Burns were close behind. But WGCL anchor Sharon Reed made the biggest jump after calling out a viewer for making a racial slur. Her overall Share more than doubled compared to the 30 days prior.

Of the top 10 individuals in the market, four work for WSB, three work for WXIA, two work for WAGA, and one works for WGCL.
