Nexstar has named Robert Simone as the vp and general manager of WWLP-EWLP in Springfield, Mass.
Simone will assume his new role immediately and report to Doug Davis, svp and regional manager.
“A well-respected leader with Western Massachusetts roots, he brings to his new role a deep understanding of Nexstar’s critical business functions and a solid reputation as a trusted business partner who is committed to the growth and economic success of our clients,” Davis said.

Most recently, Davis served as vp and general manager for WLNS, the CBS affiliate in Lansing, Mich.
