WWL Hires New Orleans Native to Anchor Mornings

WWL-TV has hired New Orleans native and veteran broadcaster Wayne Carter to assume the duties of early morning news anchor for the 5 a.m. show.

Carter, who has worked at WVEC, the Belo affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia for seven years, attended Ben Franklin High School and Country Day in New Orleans before going to college at Syracuse University.
