Wilmington, N.C. ABC affiliate WWAY is adding a CW affiliate on its digital subchannel, the Wilmington Star News reports.
Starting October 1, Cape Fear CW will be available in high definition on channel 3.2 in the Wilmington area. WWAY plans to launch a 10 p.m. newscast on the CW affiliate next year.
“It will be a brand new news program that utilizes the same talent we already have at WWAY,” promotions manager Nate Galluppi told the Star News.
