WVTM anchor Lisa Crane is expanding her role with the station.
Crane will now be the executive producer and host of a quarterly local magazine show, called WTVM 13 Chronicle. The show will feature in-depth, documentary style stories that interest Central Alabamians.
“I’m so excited to take on this new adventure. Chronicle has a great reputation at other Hearst stations around the country and I’m thrilled to bring it to Alabama to highlight some of the people, places and things that make our state great,” said Crane. “I’ve always been a cheerleader for my home state and feel this new position will give me an opportunity to share my love for the area.”
Crane grew up in Central Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She made stops in Washington, Missouri, and Georgia before returning to Birmingham in 2007 as a morning reporter.
The first Chronicle will air this Fall.
