In the wake of the Kate Spade news, WUSA anchor Debra Alfarone opened up about the time she tried to take her own life.
“I tried to take my own life as a troubled teen and I wasn’t successful but thank god I didn’t because I wouldn’t be here now,” she said during the Tegna station’s newscast Tuesday night.
“I have been holding onto this story and I thought to myself, what am I holding onto this for. It could help somebody.”
