Bob Clinkingbeard has been named news director at TEGNA-owned Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla. CBS affiliate WTSP.
Clinkingbeard comes from TEGNA’s Greensboro, N.C. station WFMY where he was news director.
“He brings energy and innovative ideas to the newsroom and shares our passion for investigative and community reporting,” said WTSP president and gm Elliott Wiser.

Current news director Peter Roghaar is joining the station’s sales team.
Before working at WFMY, Clinkingbeard worked as news director at WOFL in Orlando and at WITI in Milwaukee. He’s also been assistant news director at WUSA in Washington, D.C.
