WTRF Anchor Signs Off

By Kevin Eck

Nate Fluharty said goodbye to WTRF last night.

“Over the years I’ve learned the Ohio Valley is a place where the people take center stage,” said Fluharty. “It’s comprised of volunteers, survivors, and plenty of heroes. As I move on to a new opportunity in a new place, I will forever remember the people that helped me get there.”

Fluharty has worked at the CBS affiliate since 2005. He was an anchor and producer at WVTX in Wheeling before that.

He told viewers he wished he could give more information about where he was headed, but he was going to “enjoy a couple of weeks off” and then move on to his next opportunity.
