WTNH has hired its former assistant news director to lead the newsroom.
Chuck Carter has joined the ABC affiliate in New Haven as the stations newest news director. Carter comes from WTFX, the Fox station in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was an executive producer.
“Chuck is a veteran news executive with more than twenty years of major market experience developing award-winning newscasts. Having previously worked in Connecticut, Chuck has a comprehensive understanding of the local market and is now returning to guide our team of outstanding journalists,” said general manager Rich Graziano.

Previously, Carter worked at WPIX as managing editor and WPHL.
He joins the team on Nov. 5.
