WTKR Anchor Todd Corillo Anchors Last Broadcast With His Dad

By Kevin Eck

WTKR anchor Todd Corillo signed off last week from the Hampton Roads, Va. CBS affiliate with a special co-anchor on the noon newscast, his father.

“In 1979, WTKR management decided to start News 3 at Noon—and they asked Glenn ‘Corey’ Corillo to launch and anchor it—which he did for 20 years. I’ve always known him by another another name— Dad,” Corillo posted on LinkedIn last week. “I am beyond touched and grateful that the station has invited him back to co-anchor my last noon show this Friday. I hope you’ll join us then for a very special farewell.”

The elder Corillo worked at the station from 1978 until 1998. Todd, the younger, started at the station in May 2012. His last day was Friday and is getting out of the business to work as a spokesperson for a local shipping company.
