Anchor Les Smith, of Norfolk CBS affiliate WTKR, had quite a health scare on his way to work last Wednesday.
Smith told his colleagues on Monday that he woke up with the classic heart attack symptoms: a numb right arm and chest pain. After two hours of suffering, Smith finally went to the ER, where a stent was put in and he immediately started to feel better.
“We get these warning signs along the way, especially if you reach a certain age, you can’t ignore them any longer,” Smith said on-air yesterday. “Diet and exercise are really important.”
