Management changes are coming to WSB, the ABC-affiliate in Atlanta.

Marian Pittman, who has been the news director for the past five years, has been named station manager, WSB parent company Cox Media announced today. In her new position, she will be responsible for “strategic direction” planning at the station.

Pittman will be replaced by Mike Dreaden, who will step into the news director role after 13 years as managing editor of WSB.

In a statement, WSB vice president and general manager Tim McVay said the promotions were an opportunity to “tap existing talent for key leadership roles.”

“We’re so fortunate to have such depth of experience and leadership at this television station,” he said.
