Wendy Corona has been named 4 p.m. anchor for Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB.
She’s been filling in at that timeslot alongside Craig Lucie and replaces Erin Coleman, who left the station in June.
Corona told Atlanta Journal Constitution writer Rodney Ho the new slot is “an absolute blessing.”

“I know when people come here, they come to stay,” said Corona. “It’s a fantastic operation. I came here as weekend anchor to get my foot in the door and see if I could hang. I’ve told our news director and general manager and colleagues that when you come to this station, you put it in another gear. I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
Corona joined the station in January 2013 as a weekend anchor.
