WRTV Expands ‘Good Morning Indiana’ to The Weekend

Indianapolis ABC affiliate WRTV has announced its morning news show “Good Morning Indiana” will now air on Saturday and Sunday.

Beginning Saturday “Good Morning Indiana” will air from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with ABC’s “Good Morning America” in between. On Sunday, the show will air from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. followed by “This Week” with George Stephanopolous.

“With the growth of our newly reformatted Monday through Friday edition of ‘Good Morning Indiana,’ we felt the time was right to expand to weekend mornings,Larry Blackerby, WRTV vice president and general manager said in a statement. “Delivering fresh, relevant content for Hoosiers on TV, on RTV6 mobile apps, and on-line seven days a week, 24 hours a day is our top priority.”

The weekend news shows will be anchored by Jade Hindmon and meteorologist Kyle Mounce.
