WRGB Becomes First in Schenectady to Rise at 4:30

Attention early risers. You will soon be able to watch local news broadcasts starting at 4:30 a.m.

CBS affiliate WRGB/Channel 6 in Schenectady said starting Dec. 13, it would be begin its morning news programming half an hour earlier. And other local stations seem to be leaning in the same direction.

At the moment, WRGB, NBC affiliate WNYT/Channel 13 and ABC affiliate WTEN/Channel 10 all start their local news shows at 5 a.m. WXXA/Channel 23, the local Fox affiliate, begins at 6 a.m. More…
