WPIX Moves Scott Stanford Back to News, Makes Morning Changes

Tribune’s New York CW affiliate WPIX is shaking things up on mornings and weekends.

According to a memo from news director Amy Waldman obtained by TVSpy, Scott Stanford, who went from sports to news and back again after he came over to WPIX from WNBC is returning to news as a morning anchor. He’ll sit next to Sukanya Krishnan from 6 to 9 a.m. weekdays.

Kori Chambers will move from mornings to the weekend 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts. He’ll also be the station’s political reporter during the week.

The weekend team of Kala Rama and Craig Treadway will move to the 5 to 6 a.m. morning news. They’ll report from 6 to 9 a.m.

Andy Adler will take Scott Stanford’s place in sports.

Stanford was moved off news when John Muller joined the station in in June 2014.

To the PIX11 News Staff:

We have an incredibly talented news team here at PIX11 and I’m so proud of all of the successes we are accomplishing together. To maximize the talents of our news team, we are making some exciting changes in the news department.

Effective Monday, April 18th, Scott Stanford will move to the PIX11 Morning News. Scott and Sukanya Krishnan will anchor from 6-9am.

Kala Rama and Craig Treadway will move from weekends to anchor the PIX11 Morning News from 5-6am. They will also report for the PIX11 Morning News from 6-9am.

Kori Chambers will take over the weekend anchor desk where he will anchor the PIX11 News at 5 and 10 weekends. He will also work on political coverage for the 5pm, 6pm, 6:30pmand 10pm weekday newscasts. Kori will be one of our election correspondents, bringing special live coverage from the upcoming national conventions and on election night. Additionally, Kori will work on special consumer reports focusing on how to keep your family safe and save money.

Andy Adler will move to weekday Sports Desk.
