Marissa Torres has been named morning traffic anchor for Tribune’s CW affiliate WPIX.
Torres has has been the fill-in traffic reporter at the station since 2014.
“Marissa has proven to be a key player in the morning, delivering up to date information to our viewers as they trying to get out the door,” said news director Amy Waldman. “She’s a big part of the team and I’m excited to see her continue to grow in this role.”

She started her career with WCIA in Central Illinois in 2008 and has also worked at KOB in Albuquerque, N.M. Before coming to WPIX, Torres worked at KOAA in Colorado Springs.
