WOWK Adds Mark Curtis as Chief Political Reporter

By Kevin Eck

Mark Curtis is joining Charleston-Huntington, W.V. CBS affiliate WOWK as chief political reporter.

Curtis last worked at WLNE in Providence.

“I’m a ‘political junkie’ so this is a great opportunity for me,” Curtis told GoLocalProv. “Covering government and holding our leaders accountable is critical to our democracy.”

The station is owned by West Virginia Media Holdings. WOWK gm Mike Sechrist told TVSpy Curtis will be based in Charleston but will cover the state for the station group.

Curtis worked at KTVU in the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years. While there, he worked as chief Washington, D.C. correspondent for Cox-owned stations, a morning anchor and a freelance reporter and political analyst.
