For the first time in 25 years, Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, Pennsylvania Fox affiliate WOLF is producing its own 10 p.m. newscast.
The station has been relying on Nexstar-owned WBRE to produce its shows. WOLF has been airing newscasts produced by “other broadcasters” since 1991.
The Sinclair-owned station expanded its news department to include new anchors, meteorologists, multimedia journalists, photographers, and news managers.
“This expansion is an important step in the implementation of FOX56’s strategic vision to deliver our audience a one hour FOX branded news that fits their lifestyle.” said GM Jon Cadman.

• Dayne Marae, Anchor. Dayne is thrilled to be covering news “close” to home. Dayne was raised right next door to Wilkes-Barre, in the Garden State, and goes back home to Randolph to be with family and friends whenever she can. While a Jersey girl at heart, Dayne spent many years away from home while getting her start in the news business.
• Brian Sheehan, Multimedia Journalist. Brian is thrilled to be back in his home state of Pennsylvania. Brian was born and raised just down the turnpike in Bucks County. Before coming to Wilkes-Barre, Brian worked as the executive producer and host for The Daily Meal in New York City.
• Alex Belser, Multimedia Journalist. Alex is telling your stories as a reporter for the FOX56 News First at Ten. Previously, Alex handled the DuBois region beat for the Altoona-based WTAJ. Alex grew up on Long Island where he began his reporting career at LI News Tonight.
• Katie Berlin, Multimedia Journalist. Katie is excited to be making the move to the East Coast! Before coming to Pennsylvania, Katie studied Converged Broadcast Media and International Studies at the University of North Texas in Denton. During her collegiate years, Katie interned for NBC Universal in Los Angeles and Ryan Seacrest Studios in Dallas at Children’s Health Medical Center.
• Jade Jarvis, Multimedia Journalist. Jade is excited to tell the stories of the residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Born in Philadelphia and raised in the surrounding suburbs, Jade got her start in news at FOX29 in Philadelphia where she spent two years as a web producer and a social media correspondent. Jade studied Media Studies and Production at Temple University’s School of Media and Communication.
