WNET Adds Former EP from CNN

New York PBS station WNET has hired Geraldine Moriba as programming consultant for multi-platform initiatives.

Moriba will first work as project director of Chasing the Dream: Poverty & Opportunity in America, WNET’s multi-platform public media initiative about poverty, income equality, and opportunity.

“Geraldine is an extraordinarily talented leader and producer who brings fresh ideas, insights and context to complicated issues,” said Neal Shapiro president & CEO of WNET. “We are fortunate to have her as part of our team.”

Moriba comes from CNN Worldwide where she was ep and vp of Diversity and Inclusion. She’s also worked as ep of CNN’s In America documentary series and as ep, senior producer and producer on special projects for NBC News and MSNBC.

WNET is the parent company of THIRTEEN and WLIW and operator of NJTV.
