WNDU Shows Wrong Shot of Wrong Sinatra After Singer’s Son Dies

By Kevin Eck

South Bend, Ind. NBC affiliate WNDU was telling its viewers about the death of Frank Sinatra, Jr. yesterday when it used an over-the-shoulder graphic of Joe Piscopo doing his impression of Junior’s father Frank for the story.

Sinatra, Jr., who had a long musical career himself, was 72 when he died in Florida yesterday. He was on tour singing his father’s songs. Frank, Sr. died of a heart attack in 1998.

Sinatra, Jr. was kidnapped in 1963 when he was out starting his own singing career at the age of 19. The kidnappers were caught after his father paid a $240,000 ransom.
