Wale Aliyu is joining New York NBC-owned station WNBC as a general assignment reporter.
Aliyu comes from WKYC in Cleveland. He started there in August 2014. He starts at WNBC on Monday.
Before working at WKEF-WRGT in Dayton, Ohio, Aliyu anchored for Newsy.com, and was a reporter for KOMU and KMIZ in Columbia, Mo.
“Cleveland, thank you for making the last 2 years #Amazing,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
