NBC-owned station WNBC and Telemundo station WNJU in New York has hired John Durso, Jr. as vp of community and communications for both stations. He’ll also oversee COZI-TV and LX.TV Productions, the lifestyle production arm of the NBC Owned Stations.

“John is hard-working, smart and creative, with a reputation for honesty and integrity, as well as proven experience working with the media and non-profit organizations across the Tri-State area,” said Eric Lerner, WNBC president and GM.

“John is a strategic thinker who is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to get the job done,” said Cristina Schwarz, President and GM of Telemundo 47 New York. “We’re thrilled he is on board and will quickly put his many talents to use on behalf of the communities we serve.”
