WMUR reporter Audrey Cox has been accused of driving under the influence and hitting a 79-year-old pedestrian.

WMUR reports Cox, who is a part-time employee at the station, was arrested Friday night after hitting the 79-year-old woman. Cox has been charged with DUI and reckless driving. Both are misdemeanor charges.

“It was a regrettable accident, and we are confident when all the evidence is reviewed that alcohol did not play a role in this accident,” Cox’s attorney said in a statement.
