WMAR and Local Contractors Revitalize Local School

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WMAR, the Scripps-owned station in Baltimore, has teamed up with local builders and contractors to help revitalize a local school serving kids with special needs.

St. Elizabeth School has undergone a physical makeover valued at over $500,000, thanks to the WMAR program Built Upon A Dream and volunteers across the Maryland community.

A program about school makeover will air on the ABC affiliate. The show is based on the popular series, Extreme Home Makeover.

St. Elizabeth’s received new roofing, painting, electrical, appliances, windows, HVAC, decking, bathrooms, kitchen and landscaping in the building.
