WMAQ to Add 4 p.m. Newscast

By Kevin Eck

Chicago NBC-owned station WMAQ is adding a 4 p.m. newscast in August.

The station says it will announce who will anchor the new hourlong show “in the coming weeks.”

“We are committed to delivering local news, weather and information that is important to our viewers,” said president and GM David Doebler. “Our new 4 p.m. newscast will expand our local news commitment and offer our viewers even more of what they’re looking for.”
