WLS reporter and anchor Alan Krashesky will be in Mexico City Friday for Pope Francis‘ arrival.
The Chicago ABC-owned station will also be live from the Pope’s mass from the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday during the station’s 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
Krashesky covered Pope John Paul II’s funeral and the election of Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. He’s also covered the beatification of John Paul II, Benedict’s retirement and the election of Francis in 2014.
He’ll be joined by Stacey Baca on Sunday at 10 p.m. On Wednesday, Baca will cover the Pope’s mass at the Mexico/U.S. border.
