Diane-Panthieu4Chicago’s WLS has announced some changes to its news team.

According to Chicagoland Radio and Media, the ABC-owned station is promoting part-time per diem reporter Diane Pathieu to full-time reporter.

Pathieu joined the station in December 2011 as a freelance general assignment and traffic reporter. She previously worked at Milwaukee NBC affiliate WTMJ as an anchor and reporter.

“Diane has a natural warmth and energy that is apparent both on the screen and behind the scenes,” said Jennifer Graves, WLS vice president and news director. “She’s also versatile and can handle any assignment.”

Additionally, Jade Hernandez is joining WLS as a general assignment reporter, working on a part-time and freelance basis. Hernandez previously worked at Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB, where she was a reporter.

“Hernandez is an experienced and enterprising reporter who will be a great addition to the team,” Graves said.
