WLNS Names New General Manager and Vice President

WLNS has a new vice president and general manager.

Scot Chastin will join the Nexstar-owned station in Lansing, Mich. In his new role, he will also oversee Nexstar’s relationship with Shield Media-owned WLAJ and its CW affiliate ELAJ under a joint operating agreement.

He brings more than three decades of executive experience to the job. He is currently the owner of 630 Marketing, a consulting company.

“A well-respected leader, he has a proven record of building successful teams who developed effective cross-platform marketing solutions and unique promotional opportunities that leveraged local programming and community-focused content to deliver positive outcomes for clients,” said senior Vice President of Nexstar broadcasting, Theresa Underwood.

Chastin and his family will be relocating to Michigan immediately.
