Christina Myers has been named evening anchor for Providence, R.I. ABC affiliate WLNE.
Myers, who is driving across country with a rescue horse she adopted, joins John Deluca on Monday, June 27.
“We are excited to have Christina join John for our 6 and 11pm broadcasts,” said vp and GM Chris Tzianabos. “Christina is an accomplished journalist. Her enthusiasm is contagious; I think she will have a real connection with our viewers.”

She comes from KGUN in Tucson and worked at KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas and was an anchor and reporter for WPRO Radio.
