By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WKOW anchor Amber Noggle‘s three-month-old son is recovering after heart surgery.

The station in Madison, Wisc., did a story on Dax’s condition. He was born with a severe congenital heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot, and had open heart surgery at just 11 days old.

“I don’t think we imagined how hard it was actually going to be. And when there’s nothing you can do and he’s so helpless. There were a number of nights we weren’t sure what would happen,” said Noggle.
