WJZY anchor Barbara Lash (center) is moving to mornings for the Fox-owned Charlotte station.
“‘Good Day Charlotte’ is going to give Barbara’s personality a place to shine,” said WJZY news director Karen Koutsky.
Kayla Ayres (right) will replace Lash and join Bill Melugin, Rob Eicher and Anthony Flores starting Sunday.

Ayres comes from KPRC in Houston. Before that, she worked at KRQE-KASA in Albuquerque and WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland.
The station has also hired Ashlee McGeehan (left) as a reporter. She comes from WJET in Erie, Pa.
