WJCL Names Chief Meteorologist

By Kevin Eck

Savannah, Georgia ABC affiliate WJCL has named Jeremy Nelson its chief meteorologist.

This is a move within Hearst for Nelson, who works as the morning meteorologist for WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He starts later this month.

“Jeremy comes to us with a wealth of experience,” said president and GM Timothy J. Morrissey. “And he’s no stranger to Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry. He helped us out last October covering the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. So he knows the region and he’s seen firsthand how tropical weather can impact all of our lives.”
