WISH Adds 30 Minutes to Morning Newscast

Indianapolis CBS affiliate WISH has expanded its morning newscast, moving the broadcast’s start time up to 4:30 a.m.

“We have seen an increase in viewers’ desire for earlier news, so we wanted to deliver our great Daybreak news product to that audience,” WISH news director Steve Bray said in a statement. “From bringing viewers up-to-date on overnight news, and breaking news, weather and traffic; our team works hard to get our viewers ready for their day ahead with all the information they need.”

The weekday morning newscasts are anchored by Scott Sander and Lauren Lowrey, with meteorologist Randy Ollis and traffic reporter Julie Patterson. The newscasts now air from 4:30 to 7 a.m. on WISH and 7 to 8 a.m. on sister station WNDY, Indianapolis’ MyNetworkTV affiliate.
