WMTV, the NBC station in Madison, Wisc., is losing an anchor.
Anchor Amy Pflugshaupt is stepping down next month after 14 years in the industry. She’s spent the last six years anchoring the 5 and 10 p.m. shows with co-anchor John Stofflet. Pflugshaupt resigned last week.
“She’s worked so hard connecting with our viewers each night. I’m glad that she’ll be able to spend more time connecting with family,” said Don Vesely, vp and general manager of WMTV.

Pflugshaupt has spent her entire career working for Gray Teelvision. She started in 2007 at WSAW in Wausau, before moving to WNDU in South Bend, Ind.
The goal, Pflugshaupt said, is to spend more time at home with her daughter and husband.
Her last day on the air will be March 4.
