Brad Hyatt has been named assistant news director for Columbia, S.C. NBC affiliate WIS.
Hyatt comes from WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. where he’s been ep for the last three years. In the 14 years he’s been with WBTV, he’s also worked as producer and supervising producer.
“WIS is a special place and I’m excited to join the team at this great television station,” said Hyatt. “I had the chance to visit WIS for a few days in October and was impressed by the teamwork, dedication and sense of mission. WIS has a history of journalistic excellence and a commitment to the community that makes it unique in the world of broadcasting.”

He starts the first week of June.
