WILX Loses Two Anchors in Two Days

Over the weekend, viewers of Lansing, Mich. NBC affiliate WILX learned two anchors were leaving the station on back-to-back days.

Sunday morning, Anthony Sabella said goodbye on-air, telling viewers he was moving to Flint to work at ABC affiliate WJRT as a reporter.

Yesterday, WILX said Jason Colthorp was moving to Detroit to work as an anchor and reporter for NBC affiliate WDIV.

The Lansing State Journal, reports Colthorp’s last broadcast will be December 29.

Both Sabella and Colthorp started their careers at WILX. Sabella came to the station in May 2012.  Colthorp started in June 2000.
