Howie Carr, a Boston radio talk show host, looked like he was only expecting to be shot in close up for his guest slot as a Whitey Bulger expert during Boston FOX owned station WFXT‘s verdict coverage.
Anchor Maria Stephanos told viewers Carr “knows Whitey Bulger, probably just as well as Whitey knows himself.” But as the camera zoomed out to reveal her guest, viewers were treated to Carr wearing a button down shirt, a tie, with shorts and Birkenstocks.

“You knew we would probably have a verdict today and you still couldn’t dress the part for television Howie.” To which Carr replied, “The glass is half full.” Leaving Stephanos to counter, “The glass is half full but the outfit is half empty.”
