While WFTV Wins September, Orlando Ratings Race Tightens

WFTV-Ch. 9 won the news ratings race in September, but WESH-Ch. 2 tightened the contests in early and late evening. And WKMG-Ch. 6 enjoyed a boost in late news.

First a look at the 25-to-54 age group, which is most important to news advertisers.

At 6 p.m., WFTV averaged 40,600 viewers in the age group and held steady from August. WESH was second with 29,500, a rise of nearly 6,000 from August. WOFL-Ch. 35 averaged 14,400, a rise of 3,400 from August. WKMG-Ch. 6 averaged 11,800, a rise of 1,100. More…
