WGME Studios Flood, Show Goes On

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

A flooded studio didn’t stop WGME from putting on a newscast last Thursday.

The Sinclair station in Portland, Maine, had water all over the floor after a rain storm.

According to a story on the station’s site, a storm drain outside the building backed up and sent water into the door leading to the studio.

The station did everything they needed to do to keep the news on the air. Engineers set up a mock set for the anchors in the newsroom and the shows went on.
