WGHP Anchor Heads to ATL

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WGHP anchor Kerry Charles is leaving Greensboro for a job in Atlanta.

The Tribune owned Fox affiliate announced Charles departure. He’s been working at the station for the past seven years.

“I am going to miss this place,” Charles said. “I came here hoping to do three years, then be done! But, this area truly became home. The people took me in. The station trusted me. More than anything, I grew as a person and a leader. I will carry so many positive experiences with me.”

His last day will be May 16.

It’s unclear which station he will join in Atlanta. Prior to his time in North Carolina Charles worked in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Shreveport.
